Two Friends Music | Big Bootie LandTurning a Cult-Favorite Mix Series into an Immersive Live World
What began in Boston in 2022 has grown into a multi-year touring partnership bringing Two Friends’ Big Bootie Land to major venues across the country, including MGM Music Hall at Fenway, Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion, Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and Madison Square Garden.
For the inaugural Big Bootie Land, the challenge was bigger than producing a concert. The goal was to translate the world surrounding Two Friends’ cult-followed Big Bootie Mixes into a physical experience fans could actually step inside.
Working alongside Boston Experiential Group, Lindsay helped bring that world to life through immersive fan experiences, branded activations, custom photo moments, larger-than-life characters and unexpected details throughout the venue. The first Boston event introduced fans to characters from the Big Bootie universe through life-size mascots, 10-foot inflatables and digital and physical installations. Guests could have caricatures drawn with their faces on Big Bootie Man’s body, explore sponsor activations and even collect the first-ever Big Bootie Land passports.
The inaugural two-night Boston experience sold out - and became the foundation for something much bigger.
In Chicago in 2023, the experience expanded again. More than 15 outsourced vendors helped create an immersive environment featuring a color-changing LED walkway, branded games, a dunk tank complete with its own villain, five mascots, custom photo opportunities and a GIF experience.
By Los Angeles in 2024, Big Bootie Land had evolved once again. The Kia Forum experience incorporated an LED walkway, custom games, a 3D LED light box photo booth, six mascots, sponsor activations and numerous branded photo moments.
Across every city, Lindsay’s role has been to help preserve what makes Big Bootie Land unmistakably Big Bootie Land while adapting the experience to entirely different venues, footprints, partners and audiences.
The result is a touring experience that feels consistent without ever feeling copied and pasted - with each stop finding new ways to surprise the fans who keep coming back.
