Producing with Purpose

Some events are built around launching a product. Others are built around bringing people together behind a mission.

Lindsay’s multi-year work supporting Bay Cove Human Services’ CASPAR Strengthening Our Community Celebration falls firmly into the latter.

The annual event brings together community members, business leaders, advocates, colleagues and supporters to recognize and support the work of CASPAR, which serves individuals navigating homelessness, substance use and related challenges throughout Greater Boston.

Producing a mission-driven event requires a different kind of lens. The experience needs to be polished and engaging, but the production can never overshadow the people or purpose at the center of the room.

Lindsay’s approach has been to create the infrastructure that allows those stories to take center stage - coordinating the many details behind the scenes while helping the program feel warm, thoughtful and community-centered.

The impact extends beyond the event itself. The 2024 celebration raised more than $225,000 in support of CASPAR’s work and included recognition of the First Step Street Outreach Team and former Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone. The organization has continued the Strengthening Our Community Celebration annually, including celebrations in 2025 and 2026.

For Lindsay, it’s a reminder that great event production isn't always about creating the loudest moment in the room. Sometimes it’s about creating the right environment for someone else’s story to be heard.
